What is a website counter code?

A website counter code is the tracking code that iWebTrack provides to web analytics customers who want to track their website traffic.  iWebTrack is a great web analytics company for a number of reasons, one which is the fact that iWebTrack uses a javascript web tracking code to track web site traffic instead of cookies.  Many web analysis companies track traffic using cookies which may seem like a harmless idea but in fact leads to underreporting problems.  Statistics show that an estimated 35% of all internet users block cookies which means, one of these users visited your site, the traffic would not be logged due to their blocked cookies, and your stats would not be accurate.  In an effort to overcome this problem of underreporting, iWebTrack's website counters utilizes a javascript tracking website counter code that is an invisible code on your web pages.  Anybody that visits your web site will be logged as a visitor thanks to the javascript webstie counter code regardless of whether or not their cookies are blocked.
