Html Counter Code

An html counter code is the heart of iWebTrack’s web tracking tool.  An html counter code is the actual tracking code that allows iWebTrack to track your web site traffic.  iWebTrack offers two different types of html counter code both of which are to be placed on html pages.  iWebTrack offers a javascript html counter code which is our most commonly used html counter code as it’s a more familiar html counter code and tends to be easier to use than the asp html counter code.  We do offer an asp html counter code which functions the same way as the javascript html counter code; however, it is a little more complicated to use and so we recommend that only advanced and/or experienced individuals use this version.

The html counter code is a way to ensure accurate web site tracking.  Previously, companies used cookies to track their web site traffic but so many people block cookies these days that this can lead to major problems of underreporting.  In an effort to solve this problem of underreporting, iWebTrack started to use the html counter code which functions perfectly and is convenient for not only customers but iWebTrack programmers as well.
