Counter Code
iWebTrack uses two types of counter codes scripts. We offer a javascript counter code script as well as an asp counter code script. Both type of counter code script give you the same end product, but some people prefer a javascript counter code over an asp counter code. The counter code script from iWebTrack is free. When you sign up for an iWebTrack account and you actually activate your account, iWebTrack will provide you with a free counter code. We will give you access to both types of counter code script, and you can choose the exact counter code you want to you. Most of our web tracking customers use a javascript counter code to track their web site traffic because a javascript counter code tends to be a more familiar and in some cases a simpler type of counter code script. More advanced users who are more technologically advanced tend to choose the asp counter code but it’s completely up to you which type of counter code you want to use. Both types of counter code script are invisible web page codes that do not interfere with the aesthetics of your web pages, so you don’t have to worry about that. The real reason iWebTrack uses a counter code opposed to tracking cookies is that by using a counter code we are able to avoid underreporting problems due to blocked cookies.
